Weebly Release Notes: New Features and Apps from March

From eCommerce to email marketing, March was packed with exciting new features and apps. Thanks to the great response we got from the February Release Notes we’ll continue this month with a summary of the new features released in March.

Domain Transfers - Transfer your domain from another registrar directly to Weebly and manage your domain and website all from the same place.
Merge Tags - Personalize Weebly Promote emails by pulling names or email addresses from your contacts and inserting them directly into your email template.
Batch Edit - Edit multiple product, order, category and coupon entries at the same time. Perfect for big eCommerce stores with lots of activity.
Weebly Community - Find inspiration for your website or business, connect with your peers, gain valuable advice and tips, or send input for new Weebly features.
Structured Product Data - Improve your product SEO with automatic markup when publishing product pages.
Social Product Toggle - Control social sharing options on product pages from your Storefront dashboard.
iOS 4.3.0 - Blog post options, eCommerce functionality for site contributors, stability and performance enhancements.
Android 4.3.0 - Drag and drop blog editor, faster site loading, improved media selection, stability and performance enhancements.

An impressive set of new apps went live on the App Center as well.

Madlibs - Word game you can add to your site and users can share on social.
Carouselstar - Responsive carousel slider for blog post links, team cards and more.

Recently I came across a new Form-maker App- JotForm. In fact I was searching for an app. for online submission of names of participants for a farmers meet. Originally I prepared a format in MS Word. asked all members of our online group to download it, fill it up and then to upload it. To my shudder, I got only 1% response. On enquiry I came to know that many farmers are illiterate. they can not down load a form, fill it and forget for uploading the filled up form. But this Jotform did miracle. On the first day of using this Jotform facility to online fillup and submission, I got more than 100 response. Thanks to Jotform.

I reccommend JOTFORM to anyone that wants to build a form. It is so easy to use. I was actually impressed how fast i created the form i needed. Everyone should try it out!

Can't express how disappointed I am in the lack of theme releases that are actually modern and not just widescreen with a hamburger menu. You guys have site competitors like Squarespace that are literally mastering what type of templates are currently in style to give to their customers.

A few years ago I spent so much money on 3rd party sites like Divtag to purchase themes because the ones you guys had available where so bad. I would spend days on days just coding.
You guys updated weebly so much that a lot of those 3rd party businesses have shut down because they can't keep up with the updates which make their themes useless and non-compatible.

But the problem is you guys haven't added themes that are even worth it. Weebly is still missing vital small functions that are so common on other site builders.

I've been with weebly since 2008 when I decided to be a self employed artist. And I've promoted you guys ever since. I created so many professional sites for others with weebly only to become disappointed over the years with the lack of updates that are actually useful to the common artist. Don't get me wrong you guys have released amazing stuff and I'm sure it isn't easy but maybe it's time you guys pay attention to what is needed.

Anyways for the first time ever I'm considering taking my site to another platform.

Will there be upgrades to themes to add Instagram button. My theme has a bunch of buttons, but not Instagram.
