Before & After Contest - Reimagine your site and win a Weebly prize package

We love to see how you use our tools to build amazing things. As we work to improve and develop new themes, photo options, and page layouts, we’ve decided to peel back the curtain and highlight your creativity with our first ever Before & After Contest.

Here’s the deal: Give your Weebly site, blog, or online store a redesign and send us screenshots of your site “Before” and “After” the refresh. We’ll review the entries and choose the best one. The lucky winner will receive a free year of Pro, limited edition Weebly schwag, and a spot on a future blog post highlighting the design improvements.

How to Enter

Upload one photo of your “Before” site and one photo of the “After” using the form below. The contest starts today and will close on March 21st.

Don’t forget to include a link to your current site!

Hi JP! In order to do that you'd need to customize the theme. If you're comfortable working with CSS and HTML you can find some tutorials on this if you search Google. Be careful, though! We don't provide support for theme customization, so if you run into trouble simply switch back to the standard version of your theme to start over.

This is great! Just one question: Does the website have to have a Weebly-based theme? I have a custom theme on: http://ideoveo.exausolutions.com/ which looks pretty good, but its not available in the Weebly theme catalog.

I think it's ok because the only requirement is that your site is created on Weebly.

Great idea Weebly! Would love to be in it but our site had an overhaul a month or so ago - study duties unfortunately not leaving time at the moment to get even more creative. Look forward to seeing what others do with it though.

Ha! My site's needed a redesign for months, but I'm like the cobbler with no shoes. I'm so busy teaching other people how to build Weebly websites that it's hard to find time for my own. This might be just the push I need . . .

Yoga website is using Dusk theme: http://www.weebly.com/themes/theme/120889394198566305/

The theme was customized and the slideshow above the nav was added by custom code.

If you're familiar with HTML, CSS, you can do that yourself. If you can't, just get in touch with us, we can help.

Some sites look great on a 24 inch screen, however in mobile, they don't portray the same feeling. Is the Before/After just for desktop or are you looking at both?

This seems like a way to get attention off the big update you guys said you were going to come out with months ago. The user sign in update? Where is this? I'm not paying another month until it comes out.

Hey Brent! We did launch eCommerce late last year (http://blog.weebly.com/2/post/2013/11/the-new-weebly-ecommerce-has-arrived.html), which was a very large and robust update to Weebly. We then released a customizable backgrounds feature along with 5 new themes (http://blog.weebly.com/2/post/2013/11/say-hello-to-customizable-backgrounds.html), then after that we released Google Apps integration for full email support (http://blog.weebly.com/2/post/2014/01/add-email-powered-by-google-to-your-domain.html).

We also updated eCommerce (http://blog.weebly.com/2/post/2014/01/weebly-ecommerce-11-is-live.html) and will continue to update that with more features in the future.

As for the user registration feature, keep an eye on our blog here for more updates on that as well as more future plans and features.

Adam! We've launched a youth program across the bay in Oakland that trains low-income youth of color to build websites for small businesses, also in low-income neighborhoods. We use 100% weebly to do this. Last summer our youth put together 70 such sites. I'm wondering if someone over there would be interested in coming to talk to them this summer about how to get the most out of Weebly, or even let us do a fieldtrip to your headquarters. We went to Facebook, Ask.com, Pandora and a few other companies last summer and it was super great! Do you think anyone over there would be interested in talking to me about this? here's our program site (also made with Weebly!) www.hackthehood.org

I'm too late to enter contest. But, I wanted to mention the membership login feature and that addition is going to keep me at Weebly. You guys have everything I could hope for except a membership feature. Thanks for all your hard work and improvements made.
Important Suggestion for log in feature:
Have it integrated with Pay Pal like sentry login for paid subscriptions.
