5 New Designs Have Been Added

Today we added 5 new designs for you to choose from when developing your website. You can see from the screen shots that these designs are adaptable to a variety of uses, except for the pencil design, which is geared towards our growing teacher userbase. For the designs with header images, keep in mind that these images can be changed by clicking on the existing image and choosing to upload a new one in place of it.

I think you guys do a great job in giving everyone a platform to work on. It just seems that we could be more successful as a whole if you would grant us the same controls you allow us in other areas. For example the header/nav area, it would be awesome to adjust the color and to add our own banner/graphic/pic to that area to make sure our theme is relevant to our topic.

Other than that, I am having a blast and have recommended it to others.

You can swap out the header picture by clicking on it and uploading a new one. Other than that, we're working to bring you more customization options, so that you can switch up the colors and have greater control over how your website looks.

And the "free" part, that's the best! How do you pull it off?

Hi Weebly guys. Here's a heads up. Seems to be a problem with the page views counter. Over the last week or so it's been skipping more and more days and now shows no data at all. I know my site has had visitors because I've visited it myself. Any chance of fixing it?

I'm about a fortnight from publishing my site...sorting out the wheat from the chaff as it were.
Is there any way of adding my own recorded music to my site (in small amounts)? No worries if not.
I'm having a bit too much fun creating this ....if there is such a thing.

so far it's a pretty nice set up. I would like to see more options for editing the sites however. Maybe more font styles to make our pages stand out more. it seems there is only one type of font we are able to use and it makes the sites look kind of generic. other than that I think this is a great set up.

I am having trouble publishing. When I click publish I am told it succeeded,however, I get a 404 although pinging the domain gets me the same IP as weeble.com.

This site is an amazing gift! Eventhough I've got more customizing to do, I'm feeling inspired & significantly more optimistic about my newbie undertakings, since finding weebly - and creating my first-ever site & domain...within about half an hour ...for a price that's totally affordable!

Yeah I also got that from a few people (about the games that is). You don't need to pay anything, mike thats probably because you want your own web address not one through weebly.

Thanks for the new desings, guys! I just signed in as a member about a week ago, and I've already used the pencil design on one of my websites! Also, do you think you could make a custom design for people to make just about ANY design they want? (or, at least, a lot of designs)

Thanks guys. Finally up & running last week & have been having more visits than I thought. I wasn't aware that there would be so many people interested in a Scotsman, living in Tasmania working as a State Registered Nurse who's just about to release his second C.D. in as many months. Just goes to show. Thanks, weebly. :)

One question, though....my site stats are decreasing in the amount of days shown, despite the fact that there were numerous hits on particular days & that day is displayed; there is nothing showing.

Anyone else finding this, or am I jinxed?

Cute new templates! I like the road one, it's very pretty. I think you should have some new sorta of "cute" ones, like the blue and green striped one. And how about some culture-related ones? Such as a picture of a chinese market, or Mayan ruins?

so i was wondering if you could make something that WE THE PEOPLE could make a layout or something a little more fun...I love your backgrounds and all i do but i am thinking some younger patterns like some poka-dots or sumthing around that nature....Or if maybe we could have one like myspace layouts where you pick a layout and copy the code...just ideas...if you agree with me please stand up and speak your mind too...please dont take my website away!

I just joined your site a week ago and for a free website... it is GREAT. You have some slick looking templates and the editor is very easy to use and understand.

BUT... here's a couple things I'd love to see!

-More wonderful templates!

-It would be nice if you could customize the fonts and the template/background colors.

-More column choices instead of just 2 column. I'd prefer a layout sort of like the blog layout. Where it has a large text area on the left, with the small column on the right.

-Tables would be a nice addition. My mom wants me to create a website for her dogs but needs to add a table where she can layout the dogs pedigree (family tree) nicely.

Well... keep up the good work and hopefully I'll see some of my suggestions popping up on your site in the near future!!

i agree, that some animal ones should be put on, because i have a horse and dog website, for i love animals. BUT I LOVE WEEBLY!! i go on almost everyday!!! also, if possibel, i think we should be able to change the colors, because i want to make a patriots fansite, but you guys don't have a blue, red and silver template! I recommend attatching more templates as options for web page design. I find it rather difficult to get the best of each aspect of what I like about each template.
For instance, I like my pages down the side of the home page, but I can't have it because I like the layout of another template better.

We definitely need a font changer. I love weebly but the fonts make the websites look painfully generic and unprofessional. The other thing I don't like is the disability to put two-plus pictures on the same line...Anyway, keep up the good work. Definitely need more templates, you can never have enough.

I really really hope that the good folks at Weebly will creat a Template design for musicians!!!! That would really be great. You would honestly open up a totally new and huge market for you guys. There are so many musicians who need affordable websites like myself. Some extra ideas would be to set the template up so that musicians could sell their music from their site off Weebly. And how about a music player specifically for Weebly customers only, that way artists could upload and manage their own music right off their own website templates. Well these are just a few quick ideas I hope you guys will at least consider them.

what would be cool would be to be able to change the background color behind text and pictures. After finding the font that fit our vision, I began drawing a bushy fox tail in Pixelmator. I used the brush tool to make draw the tail. I also used KULER from my Color Choosing Blog to help chose the red/white and the shades I colored the tail with.
