Creating an eBay store can be a great source of additional income for your eCommerce website. But it’s not as simple as setting up your listings and waiting for customers--you have to advertise your store as well.
Fortunately, eBay offers plenty internal options to promote your store and boost your listings.
1. Promotion Boxes
You can use promotion boxes to help market your listings in your eBay Store. Promotion boxes are graphics that are displayed to feature specialty items, introduce specials, or highlight browsing options. You can choose either pre-designed boxes or design your own.
2. Listing Upgrades
eBay offers Advanced Listing Fees, where you can pay additional fees based on the length of time you want your listings to be upgraded and the price of your listing. You can choose between 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, or 30 day durations.
The listing upgrade fees include listing themes, where you can add additional designs and graphics on your existing listings for between $0.10 and $0.60, depending on how long you want the upgrade to last.
With Listing Upgrades, you also have the option of paying additional fees to promote your listing headline and subtitle. You can pay an extra $2.00 to $6.00 for bold headlines, and an extra $0.50 to $3.00 for a listing subtitle. You also have the option of purchasing a Value Pack upgrade for multiple listings.
3. Promoted Listings
eBay also offers Promoted Listings, similar to Amazon’s Sponsored Products. If you use promoted listings, you select a percentage between 1% and 20% of the final sale of a product that you'll pay for each item sold within 30 days of a click on your ad for that listing.
Promoted listings are displayed on search results pages for your selected categories and keyword phrases, with bold headlines and graphics, depending on your selected percentage. This can be a great way to highlight new products in a saturated niche.
Advertising your eBay store can be helpful for cutting through the clutter within your category to get your products up front and center. You can add an extra boost to your store by promoting it throughout your social media and on your website.
