Monthly Release Notes April 2018

Hello Weebly community! Here’s a new issue of our Monthly Release Notes. In April, we made it easier for you to approve customer reviews on-the-go from your iOS mobile device. You can now build your brand with customized packing slips, add products to your online store faster and it’s now easier to start accepting credit cards. Manage your product reviews from your Weebly iOS app

We’ve all done it. You see a product you want to buy and immediately look for reviews from other customers. In fact, 84% of consumers trust online reviews as much as the do a personal recommendation, according to BrightLocal.

With our latest iOS app release, we are making it easier for you to approve and reply to reviews right from your device - giving you the freedom to manage your online store, wherever and whenever. Focus on earning positive customer feedback and watch your business grow.

This feature is available with Business and Performance plans and will be available for Android devices soon.

NEW! Print packing slips with your logo, items shipped and return policy

Now you can reinforce your brand on your packing slip for each shipment you make. Remind your customers of your brand when your product arrives in the mail.

You can also list your return policy on the packing slip in order to increase communication with your customers. And if you want to go the extra mile, think about including an additional personal note. Sometimes it’s the little details that make the difference!

This feature is available with Business and Performance plans only.

Easier, streamlined ‘Add a Product’ flow

We redesigned the way you add new products to your Weebly store, making it easier and faster, so you can run your store more efficiently.
You can now choose whether your product is a physical good, digital good or a service without clicking on a drop down menu.

We’re adding filters to the Product Options table so you can find them faster. We’re also adding bulk editing and deleting functionality. To do this, first select the checkbox of the product variations you want to change, click in any field and you’ll be able to immediately update those fields. You can change most fields - even add images in bulk!

SEO title and description options for each product are easier to find so you can help customers discover your products on your online store and grow your business.

We’re rolling out this feature in phases so if you don’t see it yet, stay tuned!

Set up your store to accept credit cards

You turned your idea into a product (hurray!). You built your online store and it looks great (hurray!). Now, all you need to do is setup your store to accept credit card payments so that you can start selling (hurray! Wait, but how do I do that?).

We’re making it easier for you to choose the right credit card processor by highlighting the differences between each and recommending the best option for your store. Weebly provides you with great options like Stripe, Square and Paypal. We’re rolling out this feature in phases so watch out for it!

You spoke, we heard

When you sign up with Weebly, you become part of a vibrant community of artists, creators and entrepreneurs that support each other and that lets their voice be heard. This month, we tackled a couple of suggestions from our community:

  • Alt tags for Logo images. Alt tags are now automatically added to your logo images using your Site Title. This helps search engines like Google understand what your site is about and drive more visitors to your website.
  • Include coupon information in order exports. A common practice among Weebly entrepreneurs is to download a CSV file of your orders to manage shipping and inventory. You can now include a column that identifies whether a coupon code was used when purchasing an item. This will make it easier for you to evaluate and measure the success of your coupons and marketing campaigns.
