Scheduled Posts
You can now schedule blog posts through the Post Options interface. We have a brand new How’d They Do That? video that demonstrates just how easy it is to schedule posts.
You can also pre-select social sharing options for scheduled posts from the Edit Share Settings dropdown. This new tool lets you customize scheduled social messaging and choose to post on Facebook, Twitter or both. We plan to include more social sharing options in the future.
Commenting Systems
We’ve added several popular commenting platforms in addition to our default system. The steps for both Disqus and Facebook commenting are detailed in another new video!
These new commenting options allow you to choose the system with the best community management choices for your blog. Disqus offers solid features like comment tracking and review for commenters themselves, along with the ability to share comments easily on social media. The Facebook system ties into Facebook account identity which helps control spam and allows comment ordering by social relevance.
Of course, the default Weebly commenting system will continue to provide the same moderation and notification features you enjoyed before.
Advanced Post SEO
After publishing you can customize the post permalink from Post Options > Advanced. This new feature, combined with the previous blogging URL update, means you now have full control over keyword selection in post URLs.
Directly below the permalink you will find fields for title tag and meta description customization for the individual post. This feature provides even more control over crucial pieces of your on-page post SEO.
