Today we’re thrilled to introduce Weebly for iPad, the newest member of the family and second most requested feature of all time! I was scrolling through the entire article to complain about it only being compatible with iOS after seeing the trailer on You Tuber before, but right at the end I saw exactly what I was hoping to see:

Love the new app as well as the new responsive templates, but why so many things at once? Is the membership feature sorted yet or did I miss that? What about the new blog features? Are they both still in beta? Seems like a lot of things going on for the folks at weebly, which is great for us in the end, but I am sure there are a lot of us hanging out for the other already announced features. Generally though... Thanks for such a great product!

Sure ... I would love to have the app working so I can work on my site while I'm on the road without having to bring my laptop. Maybe I will do a clean re-install of the app first to see if that helps. I believe the new weebly app updated the weebly app I already had on my ipad.

The app either crashes on me or when I get to the point to try to edit my blog page, I just get a never ending "loading" circle. (My IOS is up to date. )

You guys should make all of your sites have a slideshow header option, its one of the main reasons why I upgraded, and its not even available on most new templates.

I agree! I recently upgraded and was looking forward to the header slide show capability. Frustratingly, most of the newer templates don't have it available. Weebly kindly allowed me to downgrade after I realized this. If the current theme "squared" get's a header slideshow option then I'll definitely upgrade.

This is great and all but I think more work should be put into the web version. I would like more functionality with the header (such as moving logo and adding pictures and buttons,) Also to be able to change colors of text and such without going into CSS.

It looks like upgrades are more expensive on the iPad, are in local currency and subs only obtainable up to a year and not 2 years. I have just seen this when upgrading this site from Free to Starter. I of course switched to a computer after seeing the more expensive prices. Is this intentional?

I need the store features back, please. I can no longer view form entries, view my orders, edit/update my products or see my site stats on my app. This was my main use for the app. Am I missing where those features are now hidden?? Thought the update would fix the constant app crashes and improve the product search feature. Hoping you guys put those features back for me ASAP.

We're working very hard to bring those features to the iPad app very soon! In the meantime, if you open the app on your iPhone you'll be able to manage your blog, store, and view stats. We're also releasing a separate app shortly for the iPad that also includes these features, that way you'll be able to manage them on your iPad while we work on bringing these into the new app.

This is an amazing app. I have been using it to edit some things, and other stuff like that, and let me tell you.

Weebly is the first website maker that I know of to make editing this simple on an iPad, and it is really easy. If I am on the go, I don't need to worry about a computer, I now have an iPad!

Boys and Toys, main problem with ipad and android will be that to BUILD a site you need content and a desktop has the capacity and the power to allow this, get the main weebly working properly before you develop any thing else please!

I keep getting the message 'Contributor sites not yet supported. Come back soon,' on the app. I used to be able to blog from the old app, then when I (stupidly) updated my ipad to iOS802 that ability was lost and now I can't blog. Very frustrating.

I used the weebly app and it was working really well on my mini ipad. But then I upgraded to ios 8 and the weebly app got upgraded too and now it says I can't edit! It says editing is disabled; and editing page is not supported yet. What does this mean? When will editing page be supported? Please help!

Editing of Blogs and Stores is not yet supported by the App, which is why you are seeing that message. We're working hard to have these included as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you open the app on your iPhone you'll be able to manage blog posts and products while we work on adding those for the iPad.

Why does Weebly assume people have an iPhone just because they might use an iPad? Strange that you'd pull the functionality you had on the iPad. Why didn't you release another, separate app for the new editing and keep the old one for editing the blogs, forms and products until you could bring the new app up to scratch? Hard to understand how you view your users. Even Apple isn't (often) so cavalier as to give you functionality and then pull it without giving you something better.

This seems like a huge distraction for your engineering team. We have a long list of suggested enhancements driven by real business scenarios, and a fully functional editor for a touchscreen device doesn't make the cut. Yes, there's no doubt touch screens are pervasive, but there are far more pressing features that are needed that are keeping serious website builders away from Weebly. Nevertheless, congrats on your work. There's no doubt that many current customers will appreciate the option to update the site from a mobile iPad. Now let's go after new clients please.

Weebly, I am so glad to have found you, I once had a site which I had no clue how to maintain and it costs me daily, it was tooo complicated, and the tech support was awful, but now I feel like an expert though my site is not yet as nice as I would like it (may need to have some designer's help), I love to play around and find new themes and features which you make available instantaneously...LOVE WEEBLY...

When will the Weebly Classic app be available? (Or the ability to edit blogs from the new app?) I have an entire school of students who use Weebly for some amazing authentic assessment pieces including corresponding with their parents and the previous app was PERFECT for this! The website is too much for a kindergartner or first grader (mousing skills are not great at these ages), but the choices on the app were perfect! Please, Please, Please bring the Weebly Classic app out! I have some teachers who are now hesitant to use because they can't use their iPads.

iPad app not working; error message " Editing Disabled. Editing this page is not supported yet." ????
I want to be able to access the blog(s) on our site, just like with the Weeby iphone app. Is this possible?? We only use the apps to access blogs, so the iPad app is 100% un-usable to us. (if it even worked) ?
IPad app seems more complicated - help Weebly. ps - I still love you.

Blogs are not yet included in the app, though we're working really hard to get that in as soon as we can. We have a separate app that will be released very soon called Weebly Classic which will let you manage blogs and stores on your iPad in the meantime. Stay tuned!

Sorry for my ignorance but what is a contributor site and why doesn't it allow me to edit on this new iOS app. I upgraded one of my sites to pro - does this make it a contributor site? Why if we are paying weebly should we not be able to edit the site form the iPad?

I'm sure there is a perfectly logical reason 😊

A contributor site is a site that you were invited to be an administrator or author of, and you'd see listed under the "Sites I Contribute To" section when you log into your account on a computer.

If you have a second account that you made an editor of the site, make sure that you're logging your main account rather than the editor account in order to edit it using the iPad app.

I can' t seem to cut and paste text into a text box or select all in the text box. Is this an issue for other people? Maybe I am missing something. That said, I am impressed with the app and the direction you are heading with this—especiAlly since we are a one to one ipad school.
